COVID-19 17th Patient Sends Thank You Letter to Medical Staff: "Warm Words Were Appreciated"

View original image[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Kim Yeon-ju] Patient A (37, Korean, male), the 17th confirmed COVID-19 case who was treated at Myongji Hospital in Goyang, Gyeonggi Province and recently discharged, sent a thank-you letter to the medical staff.
According to Myongji Hospital on the 13th, just before his discharge, Mr. A sent an email to the medical staff saying, "After being diagnosed with COVID-19 and arriving at the hospital with anxiety, Professor Kim Moon-jung, wearing protective gear, personally greeted me and said, 'You will get better soon if you receive treatment,' and accompanied me all the way to the 5th-floor ward. That is the most memorable moment."
He continued, "I also want to thank Dr. Kang, who passionately took my lung X-rays with a burning gaze, emphasizing the importance of wearing a mask," and expressed gratitude, saying, "Professor Kang carefully checked my physical condition every day and promptly informed me of any new updates. I appreciated the medical staff who made efforts to visit the ward in person or call via video to offer warm words."
Mr. A also expressed thanks to about ten nurses in the negative pressure isolation ward. He said, "Throughout my hospital stay, they asked daily if I was uncomfortable, brought delicious snacks and drinks I wanted to the ward, and shared many entertaining stories. I am grateful to the nurses as well."
In an interview with the media upon his discharge on the afternoon of the 12th, Mr. A said, "Having actually experienced COVID-19, it does not seem to be as severe a disease as I thought," and added, "If the initial response is good and treatment is properly received, as in our country, it may not be easy but recovery is possible."
