40-Year-Old Arrested for Swinging Golf Club After Being Mistaken for Distributing Flyers
[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Kim Yeon-ju] A man in his 40s who attacked a motorcycle rider with a golf club, mistakenly believing he was distributing advertising flyers, was arrested by the police.
The Gwangju Dongbu Police Station announced on the 12th that Mr. A was booked without detention on charges including special assault.
Mr. A is accused of swinging a golf club multiple times at the head of a motorcycle rider, Mr. B (27), who was wearing a helmet, on a side street in Sugidong, Dong-gu, Gwangju, around 5 p.m. on the 11th.
It was investigated that Mr. A committed the crime after confusing Mr. B with a driver who was distributing illegal promotional flyers on the street.
