Assemblyman Park Ji-won, Mokpo City Selected for Smart City Integrated Platform Construction Project
Project Budget of 1.2 Billion Won... Dedicated to Creating a 'Safe City Mokpo'
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Jeong Hyeong-seok] Former leader of the Alternative Party Park Ji-won announced on the 12th that Mokpo City has been selected for the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport's public project, the ‘Smart City Integrated Platform Construction Project’.
The Smart City Integrated Platform Construction Project involves building a system that connects the CCTV Safety Integration Center with the 112 and 119 control rooms in the event of various crimes and disasters, providing real-time footage of incident scenes to responding police officers and firefighters, which is expected to enable faster and more accurate on-site responses.
A total of 62 local governments applied for the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport's public project, and four locations in Jeonnam were selected: Jeonnam Province, Mokpo City, Gangjin County, and Yeosu City. The project budget is set at 1.2 billion KRW per location (600 million KRW from the national government and 600 million KRW from local governments), with plans to complete the project within this year.
