Nuclear Safety Commission Approves Restart of Gori Unit 3 Reactor
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Bo-kyung] The Nuclear Safety and Security Commission announced on the 11th that it has approved the restart (criticality) of Kori Nuclear Power Plant Unit 3, which is undergoing a regular inspection.
The commission determined that safe operation is possible based on the inspection of Kori Unit 3 conducted since September 6 of last year.
However, during the inspection, five areas in the reactor containment building were found where concrete had not been filled, all of which have been repaired. Additionally, six foreign substances were removed from the steam generator tubes.

The commission plans to complete the regular inspection after conducting 10 tests, including the power ascension test.
