Wemade Reports 113.6 Billion KRW in Revenue and 6.9 Billion KRW Operating Loss Last Year
[Asia Economy Reporter Buaeri] Wemade announced on the 12th that its annual sales last year were 113.6 billion KRW with an operating loss of 6.9 billion KRW.
In the fourth quarter, sales were 24.1 billion KRW with an operating loss of 2.7 billion KRW.
Wemade stated, "We plan to focus our capabilities on actively responding to intellectual property rights infringement, expanding the licensing business, developing three new mobile games based on the 'Mir's Legend' IP, and promoting new businesses such as blockchain-based game platforms and new releases."
In December last year, Wemade won copyright infringement lawsuits in a Chinese court regarding 'Wangzhu Jeon-gi' and 'Jeon-gi Pae-eop Mobile,' and is awaiting rulings on major lawsuits including arbitration with Kingnet, 37Games, and Shengqu Games.
Wemade explained, "The licensing business in China will solidify the rights to 'Mir's Legend' based on the lawsuit outcomes and continuously strengthen competitiveness."

Additionally, Wemade is developing new mobile games 'Mir4,' 'MirM,' and 'MirW,' and is preparing various measures to flexibly respond to the Korean service and Chinese market. In new businesses, starting with the launch of its subsidiary Wemade Tree's blockchain game platform 'WEMIX,' it is preparing to release blockchain games such as 'Cryptornado for WEMIX' and 'Jeon-gi H5 for WEMIX.'
