Gwangju Dong-gu 'Geumnam Underground Shopping Center Section 2' Selected as a Cultural Tourism Market
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Seon-gang] Dong-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City (Mayor Im Taek) announced on the 11th that 'Geumnam Underground Shopping Center Zone 2' was selected for the Ministry of SMEs and Startups' '2020 Cultural Tourism Market' project.
The Cultural Tourism Market project is part of the traditional market and shopping district revitalization initiative linked to regional characteristics (culture, tourism, history). It builds cultural content such as market tour courses and experience programs, and supports the development of specialized product distribution channels through market representative product (PB product) development, promotion, and marketing.
The Geumnam Underground Shopping Center Zone 2 Merchants Association (Chairman Kwak Mi-ran) was selected last May for the preliminary project of the Cultural Tourism Market called the 'Specialized First Step Foundation Project,' and has steadily promoted foundational projects including ▲convenient payment systems ▲price and origin labeling ▲exchange/refund and customer service ▲hygiene and cleanliness ▲strengthening merchant organization capabilities ▲safety management and fire prevention.
As a result, it received high scores in the foundation project evaluation and achieved the great success of being selected for this year's Cultural Tourism Market. Geumnam Underground Shopping Center Zone 2 will receive up to 1 billion KRW in project funding over the next two years.
