View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Jo In-kyung] The Ministry of Education announced on the 7th that it will urgently provide 24.9 billion won in special disaster safety management grants to 17 metropolitan and provincial offices of education to be used for purchasing quarantine supplies in schools in preparation for the novel coronavirus infection (Wuhan pneumonia).
This budget is allocated ahead of the new school term in March to effectively prevent the novel coronavirus, and will be used by schools at all levels to purchase necessary quarantine items such as masks, hand sanitizers, facility disinfectants, and medical gloves.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education Yoo Eun-hye emphasized, "I hope each metropolitan and provincial office of education will do their best to support on-site efforts to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus within schools," adding, "The Ministry of Education will also spare no administrative and financial support for prevention and response."
