[Asia Economy Reporter Wondara] Park Ji-won, a member of the Alternative New Party, said about Hwang Kyo-ahn, leader of the Liberty Korea Party, declaring his candidacy for Jongno, "It is a well-made decision. I pay my respects."
On the afternoon of the 7th, Park wrote on his Facebook, "In response to countless media questions asking how political veteran Park Ji-won views this, I have said that Leader Hwang would eventually be pushed to run in Jongno." He added, "It is a well-made decision. A leader is sacrifice," and "I pay my respects."
He also said, "Now, the biggest big match of the general election between two former prime ministers, Lee Nak-yeon and Hwang Kyo-ahn, begins," and emphasized, "I will cheer hard for candidate Lee Nak-yeon to be elected."
Earlier, at a press conference held at the National Assembly in the afternoon, Leader Hwang said, "I will stand at the forefront of judging the Moon Jae-in administration," and "I, Hwang Kyo-ahn, declare my candidacy for the Jongno district."
