View original image[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Seo Young-seo] Jangheung-gun, Jeollanam-do announced on the 7th that since the 3rd, it has activated the Disaster Safety Countermeasures Headquarters as a preemptive measure to respond to the spread of the novel coronavirus infection, initiating comprehensive emergency situation management through joint response with related departments and agencies.
The county is operating a 24-hour emergency quarantine task force and has formed a disinfection team of 15 members in 5 groups to block risk factors. They are intensively spraying coronavirus-specific disinfectants daily at multi-use facilities vulnerable to infectious diseases such as terminals, senior centers, and social welfare facilities.
Additionally, in response to confirmed cases in nearby areas of Gwangju City and Jeollanam-do, the county is operating screening clinics on a regular basis to prevent the inflow and spread of infectious diseases within the region. They provide infectious disease consultation and testing, and conduct one-on-one monitoring twice daily or as needed for individuals with respiratory symptoms such as fever and for overseas travelers.
Abnormal individuals are detected and screened through thermal detection cameras installed in the public health center, and training on the proper use of personal protective equipment and specimen collection has been completed.
To prevent infectious diseases, masks, hand sanitizers, infectious disease prevention guideline posters, and screening clinic notices have been distributed to over 2,000 locations including terminals, sports, cultural, and welfare facilities, related agencies, medical institutions, and pharmacies. The county is doing its utmost to protect the health of residents by additionally purchasing infectious disease prevention promotional materials.
