Six co-hosting organizations, including the Korea Electronics and Telecommunications Industry Promotion Association, announced on the 5th that they decided to postpone the exhibition to prioritize public safety amid concerns over the spread of the novel coronavirus. The Korea Innovation Industry Expo, which was promoted as the 'Korean version of CES,' was scheduled to be held from the 17th to the 19th of this year at COEX in Seoul.

The organizing bodies stated, "In a situation where public anxiety is increasing due to the spread of the novel coronavirus, we agreed that maximizing public safety is the top priority, leading to this decision," and added, "We will actively strive to minimize difficulties faced by companies due to this postponement." They plan to decide on a new date for the event at an appropriate time in the future.
