KT Strengthens Employee Hygiene Safety and Non-Face-to-Face Channels in Preparation for Novel Coronavirus

[Asia Economy Reporter Han Jinju] KT is strengthening hygiene and safety measures by providing masks and hand sanitizers to store employees to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus, and expanding non-face-to-face channel services such as its website and call center.
On the 3rd, KT announced that it has distributed masks and hand sanitizers to customer visit staff and store employees nationwide, and conducted safety enhancement training including wearing masks during customer visits, prohibiting physical contact, and washing hands before and after visits.
To accommodate customers who are reluctant to go out or do not have time to visit stores, KT is also enhancing services through non-face-to-face channels. Through KT’s official online sales site KT Shop, the mobile application 'My KT App', and the customer center (100), customers can subscribe to, check, or change communication products such as mobile phones, internet, and TV.
If customers apply for a mobile phone through KT Shop, they can receive same-day delivery from nearby agencies. By applying for the KT Shop exclusive service 'Yeogioji', a KT employee visits the customer’s home to directly handle mobile phone activation, data transfer, and more. To encourage the use of non-face-to-face channels, KT plans to give 10 domestically made KF94 masks to the first 1,000 customers who request consultation and order a mobile phone through KT Shop by the 13th.
Since the 31st of last month, KT has been providing a 'Simple Payment' service through the KT website and My KT App that allows payment of communication fees via SMS authentication without the need for membership registration or login.
