Lee Jae-myung: "For Novel Coronavirus Inquiries, Please Contact the Gyeonggi-do Call Center"
[Asia Economy (Suwon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] Lee Jae-myung, Governor of Gyeonggi Province, urged people to actively use the Gyeonggi Province Call Center (120) for inquiries about the novel coronavirus (Wuhan pneumonia) infection.
On the 30th, Governor Lee stated on his SNS, "There is a flood of consultation calls to the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency Call Center (1339) regarding the novel coronavirus, making it difficult to get through."
He added, "At the Gyeonggi Province Call Center (031-120), you can also receive various information and precautions related to the source of infection, contacts, and transmission of the novel coronavirus," and "Since the same consultations are possible as at the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency Call Center (1339), you can call the Gyeonggi Province Call Center (031-120) for consultation."
In particular, Governor Lee said, "Gyeonggi Province is working closely with the central government and local city and county offices to quickly resolve your anxiety and confusion, and to prevent the spread and early end of the infection," and "In times of crisis, it is important to respond correctly based on accurate information. I urge all residents to thoroughly follow preventive measures and overcome this crisis together."
To promptly provide accurate information and guidelines to residents, the province conducted training for the novel coronavirus response 120 Gyeonggi Province Call Center consultation staff on the 28th.
The training for call center counselors on that day was based on the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency 1339 Call Center guidelines and covered the characteristics and occurrence trends of the novel coronavirus infection, as well as response and guidance methods during civil complaints consultations.
