'KMA App' Service Launches to Provide Location-Based Severe Weather and Earthquake Alerts
KMA Weather Alert App from the 30th
iPhone Version Available in Early February
[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunju Lee] The 'KMA Weather Alert' application service, which provides real-time notifications of hazardous weather and earthquake information by verifying location data, will launch on the 30th.
Through the app, users receive push notifications of important weather alerts such as heavy rain, heavy snow, yellow dust, typhoons, as well as earthquake and tsunami warnings, based on their location information.
Unlike the existing text-based emergency disaster messages, it provides detailed information along with real-time updates.
Additionally, users can select alerts for weather warnings like heatwaves and cold waves, as well as land and sea forecasts according to their personal preferences, and receive the latest weather information in the form of notification messages.
