Korean Party "Welcomes Seoul National University’s Suspension of Cho Kuk... Strong Disciplinary Action Needed"
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Ji-eun] The Liberty Korea Party expressed its welcome on the 29th regarding Seoul National University's decision to suspend former Minister of Justice Cho Kuk.
Lee Junho, spokesperson for the Liberty Korea Party's Youth Division, stated in a commentary that "According to Article 38 of Seoul National University's personnel regulations, the suspension of former Minister Cho is a natural step."
He added, "Considering the social turmoil caused by former Minister Cho and the great wounds inflicted on the public, strong disciplinary actions such as dismissal or removal should follow the suspension," and urged, "We welcome the suspension decision and call for the initiation of additional disciplinary procedures."

Meanwhile, Seoul National University announced on the same day that former Minister Cho, who was reinstated to the Law School last October, will be suspended due to being indicted on charges including bribery and abuse of authority.
