Uridamunhwa Scholarship Foundation, Recruiting Members for 'Multicultural Youth Uri School'
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Hyo-jin] Woori Financial Group's Woori Multicultural Scholarship Foundation announced on the 29th that it is recruiting participants for the multicultural youth culture and arts education program '2020 Woori School.'
The Woori Multicultural Scholarship Foundation is a public foundation established in 2012 with a 20 billion KRW contribution from Woori Bank and other affiliates of Woori Financial Group. It supports multicultural families to settle stably in Korean society through scholarship, education, and cultural projects.
'Woori School' is a program that the Woori Multicultural Scholarship Foundation has been steadily supporting since 2015 to help multicultural children discover their talents and nurture their dreams through professional culture and arts education. Through various activities such as specialized education, local festivals, performances, and competitions, it contributes to forming peer relationships and fostering proper values and growth among youth.
The application target is multicultural youth aged 14 to 19 who like or have talent in activities such as singing, dancing, and performing. Applications are accepted on the Woori Multicultural Scholarship Foundation website until February 14, and 20 final participants will be selected through auditions. Regular classes are held every Saturday at Broad Dance School located in Mangwon-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul.
Selected members of 'Woori School' will receive professional training such as K-POP and jazz dance, vocal training, opportunities to produce music videos, and participate in competitions. They will also be invited to perform at official events of group companies including Woori Bank. All necessary costs such as tuition and performance preparation fees are fully covered by the Woori Multicultural Scholarship Foundation, and preference will be given during scholarship selection for foundation scholars.
