[Asia Economy Reporter Heo Midam] Former Dongyang University professor Jin Joong-kwon criticized former Blue House spokesperson Kim Eui-gyeom and other Blue House alumni running for the general election in Gunsan as "Cheongdori."

On the 29th, Jin posted on his Facebook, "Another point to note in this Democratic Party nomination is 'Cheongdori,'" adding, "I heard that nearly 70 people briefly stayed at the Blue House just to run for office."

He continued, "Kim Eui-gyeom broadly falls into that category. Since he entered not to work but to build credentials for candidacy, how bad must the state affairs have been during that time?" He pointed out, "Because of this lack of substance, the Democratic Party will have a lot of headaches."

He said, "In a situation where the president's approval rating surpasses the party's approval rating, they cannot ignore the Blue House's influence, and although there are many candidates for nomination, the quality is low," adding, "The Democratic Party dragging out the verification issue of former spokesperson Kim Eui-gyeom is probably due to such circumstances."

Earlier, the Democratic Party's Candidate Verification Committee held a review on the 28th regarding former spokesperson Kim, who was embroiled in real estate speculation allegations, but postponed the decision.

Jin Sung-jun, a secretary member of the verification committee and former lawmaker, stated, "Additional matters requiring confirmation arose again today, so the on-site investigation subcommittee will investigate and report at the next meeting, and based on the results, further discussion will take place."
