View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Seocho-gu (Mayor Eunhee Jo) is expanding the quarantine countermeasures headquarters (headed by the public health center director), which has been operating since the 21st, to the Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters (headed by the mayor) in response to the infectious disease crisis alert level being raised from 'Caution' to 'Warning' and is taking proactive measures.
The Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters is composed of 9 teams and 11 departments, including the Disaster Situation General Team, Emergency Living Stability Support Team, Disaster Management Resource Support Team, Medical and Quarantine Service Support Team, Disaster Site Environmental Maintenance Team, and Disaster Recovery Public Relations Team, and plans to operate flexibly according to the confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus.
So far, the district has assigned staff to the public health center screening clinic, designated one-on-one dedicated officials for contacts of confirmed patients, and placed prevention guideline notices, hand sanitizers, and masks in each civil service office and community service center, promoting precautionary measures.
In particular, thermal imaging cameras have been installed at the public health center, OK Civil Service Center, and Passport Civil Service Office to proactively identify suspected patients and manage contacts, ensuring residents feel secure.
Additionally, all events hosted by the district will be canceled, and events targeting children, the elderly, and pregnant women will be canceled or postponed as recommended.
Residents are urged to comply with preventive measures such as handwashing and cough etiquette to prevent infectious diseases, and those with respiratory symptoms such as fever and cough, especially visitors from China, are asked to report to the Disease Control Headquarters Call Center (1339) or Seocho-gu Public Health Center (2155-8093) before visiting medical institutions.
