On the 22nd, Doosan officially announced the FA contract with infielder Oh Jae-won. The contract terms are for 3 years with a total amount of 1.9 billion KRW, including a signing bonus of 400 million KRW, an annual salary of 300 million KRW, and incentives totaling 600 million KRW.
After completing the contract, Oh Jae-won said, "I am happy. As the captain, I will lead the younger players with responsibility this year as well," and added, "I will also improve my personal performance to contribute to winning the Korean Series for the second consecutive year."
Oh Jae-won is a franchise player who has played only for Doosan since debuting professionally after joining Doosan in 2007. When he first qualified as an FA in 2015, he also signed a 4-year contract with Doosan worth a total of 3.8 billion KRW.
Last year, he appeared in 98 games, recording a batting average of 0.164, 29 hits, 3 home runs, and 18 RBIs, showing a sluggish performance.

However, Oh Jae-won played in 4 games during the Korean Series, contributing 5 hits and 3 RBIs to help the team win the championship. He was selected as the Daily MVP in Game 4 of the Korean Series.
