"Beat Each Other" Rehabilitation Teacher Sentenced for One Year of Abuse Against Intellectually Disabled Individuals

The Suwon District Court Criminal Division 1 (Judge Lee Wonseok) sentenced A (30), who was charged with violating the Act on Welfare of Persons with Disabilities, to 1 year and 6 months in prison on the 19th.
The court explained the sentencing reason, stating, "The defendant took advantage of the fact that the victims he was supposed to protect could not properly express their intentions, directly assaulted the victims, or incited other intellectually disabled individuals to assault the victims without any reason, which is extremely reprehensible."
