Samsung C&T Junji Presents 'Atomage' Fall/Winter Paris Collection
[Asia Economy Reporter Yujin Cho] Samsung C&T Fashion Division's global brand JUNJI announced on the 19th that it showcased its Fall/Winter season collection at the Paris Medical University in France.
In the Paris collection for this Fall/Winter season, conducted under the concept of 'Atomage,' JUNJI reinterpreted 1980s items and silhouettes centered around leather, inspired by leather itself.
The newly introduced coats, pants, skirts, and accessory items combined JUNJI's tailoring with leather, reborn as stylish items that break fashion stereotypes, such as a new form of leather pleated skirts and innovative coats combining wool and leather.
JUNJI's formal style, based on shirts and ties, mixed and matched various coats and jackets utilizing leather, while proposing new silhouettes and styles through coordination with leather pleated skirts and leather pants, attracting attention from local industry insiders.
Additionally, through the reinterpretation of JUNJI's unchanging concept of classic, the 1980s jackets were newly designed, leaving a strong impression with bold shoulder pads exceeding 1cm in thickness.
At the finale of the collection, 21 models wearing leather hats and masks walked simultaneously, creating a unique finale that drew applause from the approximately 400 attendees.
Samsung Electronics' Galaxy Buds collaborated with JUNJI's catwalk stage in this collection. A total of 13 models wore Galaxy Buds with JUNJI's outfits and walked the runway.
In particular, JUNJI-produced 'Galaxy Buds leather cases' were styled together on the upper garments of each model. JUNJI plans to release two types of 'Galaxy Buds leather cases' for the Fall/Winter season: necklace type and clip type.
In this collection, the global brand Reebok introduced the Pump Court Shoes with JUNJI's unique sensibility added, presenting a new shoe model.
The Pump Court Shoes born from the collaboration between JUNJI and Reebok combine the flashy colors and styles of Pump Shoes with JUNJI's pursuit of minimal and refined beauty, resulting in a calm and impressive new style of Reebok shoes, according to reviews.
The JUNJI-Reebok collaboration Pump Court Shoes, officially launching in the second half of this year, will be released in four colors: the season colors black, gray, white, plus green as a point color. In addition to shoes, hats, socks, and other items will also be introduced.
The Pump Court Shoes presented by JUNJI and Reebok will be sold at over 100 Reebok stores worldwide starting this fall season. It is rumored that Reebok requested JUNJI to expand the collaboration beyond shoes to include apparel as well.
JUNJI's women's wear line, officially launched last year, will be available at major department stores in Seoul starting March.
Over the past year, JUNJI's women's wear line, centered on coats, jackets, and skirts, has gained great popularity with items such as shirt-style skirts and shirt-style dresses unique to JUNJI, breaking down gender boundaries in style.
