View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Hye-min] Shim Jae-cheol, floor leader of the Liberty Korea Party, announced on the 15th that he would file a complaint with the prosecution against Park Young-sun, Minister of SMEs and Startups, Yoon Gun-young, former head of the Blue House National Policy Planning Office, and Go Min-jung, spokesperson of the Blue House, for violating the Public Official Election Act.
Shim made this statement during a joint meeting of party leaders, supreme council members, and senior lawmakers held at the National Assembly that morning.
The Liberty Korea Party claims that Minister Park and former Director Yoon exchanged constituencies. It is alleged that Minister Park, who declared she would not run in the general election, accompanied former Director Yoon, who is likely to run in her constituency of Seoul Guro-eul, to local events, thereby providing so-called election support.
Regarding spokesperson Go, Shim claimed that "as the Blue House spokesperson, she mentioned the general election and referred to 'judgment on the regime and the opposition party,'" which constitutes a violation of the election law. On the 8th, Go stated, "Ultimately, the people will judge whether it is right to judge the regime or the opposition party."
Shim also argued that "in the past month, the government and ruling party have been issuing populist pledges under the name of party-government consultations," claiming that the early execution of the budget policy and the decision to lift military facility protection zones attended by the Minister of National Defense are typical examples of election manipulation using government authority.
He said he would also consider proposing an amendment to the Criminal Act to establish a judicial obstruction clause to prevent abuse of the president's personnel authority. Shim criticized, "President Moon Jae-in has purged all prosecutors responsible for investigating crimes by the living power and said that personnel authority should be respected," calling it "an anti-democratic act that would have led to immediate criminal charges for judicial obstruction in countries like the United States."
Regarding President Moon's statement at a press conference the previous day that "selective investigations should not be conducted," Shim said, "Since taking office, he has ordered investigations such as the Kim Hak-eui case. He told them to conduct selective investigations," and added, "Now that he says selective investigations are not allowed, how hypocritical is that?"

Meanwhile, Shim criticized the Ministry of Justice's plan to enforce the amended Enforcement Decree of the Commercial Act, which limits the term of outside directors of companies to six years starting from March this year, calling it "an unprecedented Moon Jae-in-style regulation." He said, "They plan to apply it from the shareholder meetings in March, and more than 200 companies will need to recruit new outside directors, totaling over 700 people," and raised his voice, saying, "It only looks like a temporary measure to create jobs for pro-Moon and Moon fans."
