View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Lee Dong-jin, Mayor of Dobong-gu, will visit traditional markets in the area over two days on the 13th and 14th to listen to the difficulties faced by market merchants and spend time meeting with residents in celebration of the upcoming Seollal holiday.
On the 13th, Mayor Lee visited Dokkaebi Market in Banghak-dong, Sinchang Market, and Chang-dong Alley Market in order. Together with staff who accompanied him, he purchased ritual items such as dried persimmons, jeon (Korean pancakes), and fruits using Onnuri gift certificates, asked merchants if they were facing any difficulties, and offered encouragement.
He also met with residents visiting the markets to promote the use of traditional markets, which are the heart of the local commercial district, and urged each market merchants' association to actively participate in joining and promoting the use of Zero Pay affiliated stores.
On the 14th, he plans to visit Ssangmun Market, Baegun Market, and the shopping district near Ssangmun Station to meet with merchants and residents.
