At the 38th inauguration ceremony held at Changwon Prosecutors' Office on the 13th, Chief Prosecutor Moon said, "Coming to Changwon brings back good memories from when I served as the head of the Miryang branch office 8 years ago, and I feel a warm sense of returning to my hometown. Being entrusted with the important role of Chief Prosecutor in Changwon, which plays a major role in our industrial economy, is both an honor and a heavy responsibility."
He continued, "Establishing legal order, protecting human rights, and eradicating corruption are key duties of the prosecution. The authority to enforce criminal law is granted by the people. I ask the staff to work with a 'heart together with the people,' listening carefully to the people's voices and paying close attention to circumstances."
Born in Gunsan, Jeonbuk, Chief Prosecutor Moon completed the Judicial Research and Training Institute (26th class) and has served as a prosecutor at Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office, head of the Miryang branch of Changwon Prosecutors' Office, director of the Criminal Legislation Division at the Ministry of Justice, head of the Special 3rd Division at Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office, head of the Special Division at Daejeon District Prosecutors' Office, spokesperson for the Ministry of Justice, and director of the Human Rights Division at the Supreme Prosecutors' Office. He was awarded the Geunjeong Medal in 2015.
