Korea Environmental Industry & Technology Institute "272.3 Billion KRW Loan Support for Environmental Companies... Largest Ever"
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Bo-kyung] The Korea Environmental Industry & Technology Institute will provide environmental policy fund loans totaling 272.3 billion KRW this year, the largest scale ever, to strengthen the competitiveness of the domestic environmental industry and lay the foundation for the growth of small and medium environmental enterprises.
By sector, the funds include 163.4 billion KRW for recycling industry promotion, 62 billion KRW for environmental improvement, 45.5 billion KRW for environmental industry promotion, and 1.4 billion KRW for natural gas supply facility installation. Loan applications will be accepted quarterly. The first quarter loan application period begins on January 20. The loan interest rate for the first quarter is set at 1.41% per annum.
This environmental policy fund is the largest ever, increasing by 31.5 billion KRW compared to last year, with expanded support targets and scale.
Working capital allocated to environmental industry promotion funds and recycling industry promotion funds has increased the support limit per company from 500 million KRW last year to 1 billion KRW this year.
The recycling industry promotion fund has been increased by 35 billion KRW compared to the previous year, of which 20 billion KRW is newly established and operated as a 'market stabilization fund' to provide loans to waste disposal companies for excess waste collection, stockpiling, and storage when social issues such as refusal of waste collection and disposal occur.
The facility fund limit for the recycling industry promotion fund has been raised from 2.5 billion KRW per company to 5 billion KRW, and the target has been expanded from small recycling companies to medium-sized recycling companies.
The 20 billion KRW 'emergency management stabilization fund' for small recycling companies will change from quarterly to on-demand application to strengthen timely support.
Companies wishing to apply for environmental policy fund loans can submit applications online and receive the latest information such as application announcements via mobile.
Applicants should access the environmental policy fund support system, register as members, register a digital certificate, and then complete and submit the loan application form.
For companies wishing to check the application method and available funds in advance, a 'mock application and self-diagnosis service' is provided, allowing them to experience the loan application process identical to the actual submission screen.
Additionally, by adding 'Environmental Policy Fund Loan Support Project' as a friend on 'KakaoTalk Plus Friend,' users can receive the latest information on application and submission periods, project completion reports, financial support projects, and various events.
