View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Daeseop] Mid-sized companies are expanding their markets through new products rather than their existing main products. They continue efforts for sustainable growth by launching various products and creating new markets based on their technological capabilities.
Energy specialist company Daesung Celtic Energies recently launched a new air purifier (model DSAP-220A). This company, which mainly produces eco-friendly condensing boilers, applied low-noise design technology to the air purifier. It is also equipped with a triple composite filter consisting of a pre-filter, HEPA filter, and carbon filter to remove ultrafine dust.
A Daesung Celtic representative stated, "We plan to add a lineup of air purifiers for various usage areas in the future," and added, "We will become a manufacturer of eco-friendly products that customers can trust and purchase."
Coway showcased for the first time a combined model of induction and dishwasher at the world's largest home appliance and information technology exhibition '2020 CES,' held in Las Vegas, USA, from the 7th to the 10th.
The dishwasher is installed at the bottom of this combined model. To ensure more hygienic and cleaner dishwashing, it operates in two stages: pre-wash mode and wash mode. In pre-wash mode, sterilizing water generated by electrolysis without chemical additives is sprayed onto the dishes for sterilization. In wash mode, dishes are washed with clean water filtered through a nanotrapping filter.
The upper part of the combined model is equipped with a water induction system. It applies a water faucet that dispenses clean water filtered through a filter, significantly enhancing user convenience. The water induction system reduces the effort of moving to the sink to fill containers with water used for cooking. It is convenient to use water immediately during cooking and shortens cooking time.
Some mid-sized companies are creating new concept spaces by leveraging the strengths of their existing core businesses. Kyowon Group opened its first 'Kids Lounge' in Gwanggyo, Gyeonggi Province, on the 6th. It is an open space where parents interested in their children's education can freely experience reading, classes, and edutech learning programs together with their children.
The space is composed of concept areas tailored separately for parents and children. The space for parents is a caf?-style open area where they can enjoy coffee and refreshments without burden. They can also experience all of Kyowon's complete set products and edutech products. It is a space that offers not only lectures related to children's education that parents need to know but also one-day cultural center classes related to various hobbies.
The space for children is designed as a book caf? that fosters creativity and offers various reading and learning consultations. It is stocked with about 2,000 volumes of Kyowon's representative brand's early childhood and elementary complete sets. A book curator resides on-site to recommend suitable books to children and guide proper reading methods. Additionally, age-specific post-reading activity classes are conducted.
