Why Did Mapo-gu Hold the 'Major Task Sharing Forum'?
Breaking Away from Country-Specific Reporting... All Employees Grade 6 and Above Gather to Share Core Policies and Directions... Clear Goal of Innovation Through Communication 'Jipsagwangik'... New Year Launch of 'Anything Consultation Desk' and 2nd Phase of 'Mapo-Style Youth Job' Project
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Mapo-gu (Mayor Yoo Dong-gyun) held the ‘2020 Major Work Sharing Forum’ on the 8th, where all employees of grade 6 and above gathered to discuss the major projects and policies to be promoted from the new year.
This event broke away from the previous method of reporting major tasks in small groups by department and was the first time in Mapo-gu’s history that all executive staff gathered in one place to share district policies.
This originated from the awareness that while most employees are well informed about their own tasks, there is a lack of understanding regarding the work carried out by other departments, as well as the district’s core policies, projects, and directions.
The event began with a presentation on the 2020 district status by the Head of the Planning and Budget Division, followed by each bureau chief from the Administrative Management Bureau, Planning and Finance Bureau, Tourism and Jobs Bureau, Welfare and Education Bureau, Urban Environment Bureau, Transportation and Construction Bureau, Health Center, Audit Office, and Mapo 1st Street Research Group explaining their major projects.
According to the 2020 major work plan announced that day, Mapo-gu plans to launch new projects across various fields such as tourism, jobs, culture, welfare, education, and administration throughout the year.
Representative projects include the operation of the ‘Anything Consultation Desk’ that provides counseling and assistance to residents, the Mapo-style Youth Job Project creating youth jobs in fields like IoT, big data, and broadcasting planning, establishment of the Mapo Publishing Culture Promotion Center, operation of the Mapo tour bus, strengthened support for households suspected of hoarding, expansion of district-run daycare centers and public workplace daycare centers, creation of air-purifying forests with the planting of 5 million trees, construction of a public parking lot in Mangwon-dong, implementation of a street vendor permit system, installation and operation of a children’s meal management support center, and on-site visits to Mapo 1st Street for livelihood field exploration.
In the final session of the event, during a dialogue with the mayor, employees directly presented proposals and opinions on policies to Mayor Yoo Dong-gyun and engaged in discussions.
Mayor Yoo Dong-gyun, who proposed the four-character idiom ‘Jipsagwangik’ as the New Year’s motto, emphasized that dynamic and creative administration can be achieved within an organizational culture where employees collaborate and share ideas.
