Citizens Continue Visiting Ulsan Safety Experience Center
Over 124,600 Visitors Last Year

According to the Ulsan Fire Department on the 6th, the number of visitors to the Ulsan Safety Experience Center last year was recorded at 124,647. With growing interest in safety due to recent earthquakes and large-scale fires, the Ulsan Safety Experience Center, where visitors can directly experience virtual disasters, is gaining popularity.
Among the six experience courses, 'Daily Safety' had the highest usage rate at 51.4%, followed by Nuclear, Earthquake, Children's Safety Village, Chemical, and First Aid in that order.
The proportion of participants including infants, elementary, middle, and high school students was 92,264, accounting for 74% of the total, while adults accounted for 19.4%. Notably, the elderly and people with disabilities accounted for 2.5% and 1.8% respectively, which is evaluated as an opportunity for socially vulnerable groups to strengthen their ability to respond and protect their own safety.

Gong Haeyong, director of the Ulsan Safety Experience Center, said, “Since the opening, thanks to the great interest and cooperation of Ulsan citizens, we have been able to operate without any safety accidents,” and added, “All staff at the experience center will do their best with a beginner’s mindset to train each visitor as a safety guardian.”

The Ulsan Safety Experience Center is available for use from age 5 and up with advance reservation through its website. It operates normally even on holidays. It is closed on Mondays, the day after public holidays, and on Lunar New Year and Chuseok holidays.
