Pastor Jeon Gwang-hoon, president of the Korea Christian Federation (HanKiChong), emphasized at a rally on the 4th after his arrest warrant was dismissed that the rally will continue until President Moon Jae-in steps down.
Pastor Jeon and others are under investigation for leading illegal activities at a conservative group rally held on October 3 last year at Gwanghwamun, Seoul, on National Foundation Day, on charges of violating the Assembly and Demonstration Act and obstruction of official duties.
During that rally, some participants attempted to march toward the Blue House but assaulted police officers who tried to stop them, resulting in about 40 people being arrested on the spot.
Because of this, some have criticized the rallies involving Pastor Jeon as radical and violent, but after the dismissal of his warrant, Pastor Jeon attended another rally and unleashed so-called "verbal bombs."
At the rally held in front of the Kyobo Building in Gwanghwamun, Jongno-gu, Seoul, called the "People's Rally for Moon Jae-in's Resignation," Pastor Jeon claimed, "The Constitution of the Republic of Korea has freed me."
He continued, "Prosecutor General Yoon Seok-youl and judges who agree with the Constitution of the Republic of Korea will protect the country from now on," raising his voice.
Tens of thousands of people, including members of the National Struggle Headquarters for Moon Jae-in's Resignation (Beomtu-bon), conservative groups, and conservative Christians, participated in the rally that day.
Pastor Jeon Gwang-hoon, chairman of the Korea Christian Federation (Han Ki Chong), who was accused of leading illegal and violent acts at the rally held at Gwanghwamun on National Foundation Day last year, is seen waving to his supporters as he leaves Jongno Police Station in Seoul on the evening of the 2nd after his arrest warrant was dismissed.

Pastor Jeon had previously stirred controversy with radical remarks. At the "Gwanghwamun Rally to Stop Moon Jae-in Regime's Constitutional Violations and Urge the Dismissal of Hypocrite Cho Kuk" held on October 3, he called the Moon Jae-in regime a "Jusapa (pro-North Korea faction) and communist regime," saying, "Please quickly remove that Moon Jae-in bastard. Please eradicate 500,000 Jusapa."
He also shouted, "From this moment, we impeach Moon Jae-in as president." Then he raised his voice, "I understand everyone agrees, so from this moment, we release Park Geun-hye."
Meanwhile, controversy arose when he asked rally participants to make offerings. Pastor Jeon said, "It rained heavily on August 15, and I went bankrupt. Please empty your pockets as a substitute for God's glory." He added, "Hallelujah. The happiest time of today's event has come. It is time to make offerings. Time to make offerings."
Meanwhile, according to the court, Judge Song Kyung-ho, head of the warrant division at the Seoul Central District Court, dismissed the arrest warrants requested on the 2nd against Pastor Jeon and HanKiChong spokesperson Pastor Lee Eun-jae on charges of violating the Assembly and Demonstration Act.
Judge Song ruled, "Considering the progress of the rally, the method and nature of the rally, specific instructions and involvement at the rally site related to the criminal charges, the investigation progress, and evidence collection, it is difficult to recognize grounds, necessity, or appropriateness for detention at this stage."
