According to the Incheon Fire Headquarters and Incheon Yeonsu Police Station on the 3rd, at around 8:32 a.m., a large tower crane collapsed at the construction site of the new office building of a cutting tool manufacturer in Songdo International City, Yeonsu-gu.
As a result of the accident, two workers, Kang (59) and Kim (51), fell from the 30-meter-high tower crane and died, and another worker, Choi (5), injured his arm and was taken to a nearby hospital. Kim was buried under debris at the construction site after the fall, and the fire authorities are currently recovering the body.
At the time of the accident, it is known that work was being done to dismantle the tower crane by loosening bolts at the construction site.
A fire official stated, "While gradually lowering the height of the tower crane, the crane collapsed at the height of the 10th floor of the building, causing workers to fall to the ground."

The police are conducting further investigations into the exact circumstances by interviewing witnesses and plan to check whether the construction site personnel properly followed safety regulations.
