After the floor strategy meeting at the National Assembly on the morning of the 3rd, Shim told reporters, "I am willing to take responsibility, but I am not sure if this is the right time to discuss it," expressing his disagreement with the calls for accountability.
He added, "During the passage of the fast-track bills, we did our best to block them through the filibuster and held out well, so I don't think it is appropriate to demand that we take responsibility." Floor spokesperson Sung Iljong also said, "It has been over a month since Representative Shim took office, but there has not been a single call for the leadership to take responsibility."
When asked about the connection to the general election after he strongly criticized the prosecution's indictment related to the fast-track as 'biased' earlier in the day, Shim replied, "Let's wait and see," and added, "Even in the first trial, it will be seen as biased and unreasonable." He also revealed that he had spoken with former leader Na Kyungwon regarding this matter, but declined to provide further details when asked.

Regarding concerns that fatigue is rising as the Liberty Korea Party's outdoor rallies increase, Shim responded, "It's not that fatigue is increasing, but that there are simply a lot of events scheduled at the beginning of the year," and explained, "It's not fatigue, but rather that the workload is overloaded."
