On the afternoon of the 2nd, MBN's 'You Are the Voice Queen' (Voice Queen) aired the 4th round of the finals, the '1-on-1 KO Match.' The '1-on-1 KO Match' is a format where two participants, randomly drawn, compete head-to-head, with only one surviving.
The first stage featured Park Yeon-hee and Jung Soo-yeon's performances of 'Dongbaek Agassi' and 'My One and Only Person Has Left.' After her performance, Park Yeon-hee shed tears, saying, "I am satisfied to have stood on such a big stage four times."
The result of the match was Jung Soo-yeon's victory. She advanced to the semifinals by defeating Park Yeon-hee with a 9-point difference. The program entered a new phase as Park Yeon-hee, who had never been eliminated in previous broadcasts, was eliminated. Park Yeon-hee expressed her feelings about elimination, saying, "I have been happy until now, so I will take this happiness home with me."
The next stage was between Jeon Young-rang and Kang Yoo-jin. Jeon Young-rang wore a yellow hanbok and sang 'Han Obaeknyeon,' while Kang Yoo-jin wore a sequin outfit and performed 'First Train,' presenting contrasting stages of traditional folk song and popular music.
After watching their performances, Tae Jin-ah praised, "Both Kang Yoo-jin and Jeon Young-rang sang their best. I think both are queens of 'Voice Queen'." However, the victory went to Jeon Young-rang.
The third match was between Filipino newlywed Yabu Jenilin and Jang Han-i. Despite having a cold, Yabu Jenilin passionately sang Jo Sumi's 'If I Go,' and Jang Han-i performed Song Chang-sik's 'Love.' Jang Han-i won by a narrow one-vote margin and advanced to the next round.
The fourth stage, a traditional trot showdown, featured Yoon Eun-ah and Choi Yeon-hwa, who had performed as the 'Bong Sisters' in the 3rd round. Yoon Eun-ah showcased the essence of 'kkeokgi' with Hyun Chul's 'Bongseonhwa Yeonjeong,' while Choi Yeon-hwa presented a unique charm different from the original with Joo Hyun-mi's 'It Was Really Good.'
Despite a fierce 5-to-5 situation, Yoon Eun-ah was eliminated as Kim Kyung-ho gave the final vote to Choi Yeon-hwa.
The next match featured Joella and Choi Sung-eun. Joella confidently said, "I want to create a stage that surprises people. I want to win."
Joella's performance of Cha Ji-yeon's 'If You Live' turned the audience and judges into tears. The audience was completely immersed in Joella's stage. Choi Sung-eun sang Nami's 'Sad Fate,' but the victory went to Joella.
Afterwards, Ahn So-jung, who sang Patti Kim's 'Love That Left Autumn Behind,' received unanimous votes and won against jazz expert Jung Eun-joo.
Musical actress Kim Rua performed Mamamoo's 'Piano Man' with a dance, and Na Ye-won showed solid vocal skills with Lee Eun-ha's 'Winter Rose.' The victory went to Kim Rua with a score of 9 to 2.
Thus, as a result of the 4th round matches, Jung Soo-yeon, Jeon Young-rang, Jang Han-i, Choi Yeon-hwa, Joella, and Kim Rua advanced to the semifinals.
Meanwhile, MBN's 'Voice Queen' is a new music survival program targeting housewives, started with the concept of 'encoring the prime time' for Korean housewives who have lost their names due to marriage and childcare.
