[Photo] Jung Won-oh, Seongdong-gu Mayor, Holds New Year's Sunrise Event at Eungbongsan Mountain
[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Seongdong-gu (Mayor Jeong Wono) held a sunrise viewing event at Eungbongsan Mountain at 7 a.m. on the first day of the New Year of the Gyeongja year.
The octagonal pavilion on Eungbongsan is considered the best sunrise spot in the city, offering a panoramic view of the Han River and Seoul Forest, as well as the eastern part of Seoul.
The event began with traditional Korean percussion and popera performances to welcome the New Year, followed by a New Year's hope message, big drum playing, electronic firecracker popping, and wish paper hanging, praying for the safety and happiness of Seongdong-gu residents.

For the early morning sunrise crowd, warm soft tofu, ramen, and coffee prepared by the Saemaeul Women's Association of Eungbong-dong were served at the badminton court near the summit of Eungbongsan, warming the hearts of the residents who came to watch the sunrise.
