A party official stated in a phone call with Asia Economy on the same day, "The name of the proportional satellite party will be Proportional Liberty Korea Party, and it is scheduled to be registered with the National Election Commission this morning."
Following the passage of the Public Official Election Act amendment centered on the semi-linked proportional representation system in the National Assembly last year, the Korea Party had formalized the establishment of a proportional party. Last week, they completed practical work such as collecting signatures from founding committee members on the founding preparation committee's consent form, leaving the party name blank.
