Continental Korea Appoints Oh Hee-geun as New CEO
Oh Hee-geun Appointed as New CEO Effective January 1
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Ji-hee] Oh Hee-geun has been appointed as the new CEO to lead Continental Korea.
Oh, who took office on the 1st of this month, has over 30 years of experience in the automotive technology industry. Before his appointment as CEO, he served as the head of Continental's Safety Control & Sensor Division for Korea and Japan, and also as the CEO of Continental Automotive Corporation Korea.
Oh stated, "Based on Continental's global network and innovative technological leadership, I will lead the changes in the mobility industry and strive for balanced growth of Continental Korea, as well as do my best for the continuous development of the domestic automotive industry."

Oh graduated from Seoul National University with a degree in Mechanical Engineering and earned a master's degree in Internal Combustion Engines from the same university's graduate school. He later obtained a master's degree in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from Princeton University in the United States. Before joining Continental in 1997, he worked at Daewoo Motors, ITT Automotive Korea, and AlliedSignal Korea.
