Heo attended the opening ceremony held in the auditorium on the 4th floor of KB Kookmin Bank's Yeouido headquarters that morning and stated, "The banking industry is expected to go through a harsh winter this year and for the coming years."
He emphasized, "To enjoy the premium of being the number one bank, we must maintain an overwhelming gap with competitors," and added, "This year, we have set our management direction as ‘realizing KB centered on customers and employees through company-wide digital innovation.’"
Heo highlighted the 'Digital Transformation (DT)' to promote company-wide digital innovation. He announced that through the process of digitally reinterpreting all banking operations, the smart reservation consultation system and digital counters will be expanded, and the next-generation IT system, ‘The K Project,’ will be carried out.
He also pointed out strengthening the sales infrastructure based on customer-centric thinking as the first priority task to be promoted intensively. In particular, he said they would accelerate the face-to-face channel innovation project that has been underway since last year.
Heo explained, "We aim to rebuild regional headquarters into a dense sales network of various sizes and forms to create KB Financial Towns as regional hubs where customers can receive professional financial services according to their needs, together with the field."
Along with this, Heo promised to foster ‘Universal Bankers’ to secure employee competitiveness. He declared that ‘Universal Banker development’ is an absolute task with no choice, and that this year they will implement policies that favor employees with comprehensive consultation capabilities in personnel matters, striving to secure future competitiveness.
Heo said, "'KB-daum' consists of 10 specific behavioral patterns that focus on performing essential tasks rather than showy actions," and emphasized, "We will establish a smart work environment through ‘Mobile Wisnet’ and ‘KB Drive.’"
