Former President Yoon Sukyeol is expected to leave the Hannam-dong official residence as early as the 11th and move to his private residence in Seocho-dong.
An official from the Presidential Office stated, "There is a high possibility that he will vacate the residence within this week," adding, "We are discussing ways to notify the public either the day before or on the morning of the move-out date once it is decided."
According to the "Act on the Protection of the President, etc.," former President Yoon can receive protection from the Presidential Security Service for up to 10 years. It has been reported that the Presidential Security Service has completed the formation of a security team of about 40 members for his private residence.
After his inauguration in May 2022, former President Yoon commuted from his Seocho-dong private residence for about six months while the Hannam-dong official residence was being prepared, under the protection of the Presidential Security Service.
However, since the private residence is a mixed-use building, neighbors may experience inconvenience, and as the former president and his wife have 11 pets, it is known that they are also considering finding a new place to live in the Seoul metropolitan area after temporarily moving to Seocho-dong.

He continued, "He was very disheartened, believing that the Constitutional Court ruling was overturned at the last minute," and expressed concern, saying, "Due to health reasons, he did not even have a single drink as he usually does."
Governor Lee, who led the opposition to impeachment and referred to former President Yoon as 'Your Excellency,' officially announced his presidential bid the previous day at the birthplace of former President Park Chunghee in Gumi, Gyeongbuk. He stated, "I cannot stand by and watch Korea collapse, so I am running in the presidential primary with a new Park Chunghee spirit." He added, "We must inherit the spirit of President Syngman Rhee, who established the free democratic system of this country, and President Park Chunghee, who built today's Korea under that system," and argued, "If we modernize what former President Park did?such as the Saemaul Movement, expressways, steel, science and technology, nuclear power, and forestation?these will once again become the driving force to support Korea."
