NYT: "Trump's Chance of Winning at 89%... Expected to Secure 301 Electoral Votes"

The New York Times (NYT) reported that the probability of Republican presidential candidate and former President Donald Trump winning the election soared to 89% as of 11:46 p.m. Eastern Time on the 5th (1:46 p.m. KST on the 6th). The probability of Democratic candidate Vice President Kamala Harris winning was reported at 11%.

NYT projected that former President Trump would secure 301 out of 538 electoral votes, while Vice President Harris would take the remaining 237.

According to the current tally by the Associated Press (AP), former President Trump leads with 230 electoral votes, ahead of Vice President Harris who has secured 205.

As the vote count continues, former President Trump is leading in seven key battleground states. In North Carolina (16 electoral votes), with 89% of the votes counted, Trump is projected to win with 50.8% of the vote compared to Harris's 48.1%. In Georgia, where more than 95% of the votes have been counted, Trump leads with 51% to Harris's 48%.

Among the remaining five battleground states?Pennsylvania, Arizona, Wisconsin, and Michigan?Trump is also currently in a favorable position. In Wisconsin and Michigan, Trump is ahead with 51% and 54% of the vote, respectively, outpacing Harris.
