Ambassadors and Diplomatic Missions from Nine Countries Participate
Introducing Coffee Logistics and Industrial Infrastructure
The Busan-Jinhae Free Economic Zone Authority (Commissioner Park Seongho) conducted a familiarization tour for diplomatic missions to Korea from major coffee-producing countries.
The Authority announced on the 18th that, on the 16th, it had invited ambassadors to Korea and diplomatic missions from nine countries—Colombia, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Kenya, Peru, China, and Uganda—for an on-site tour of industrial and logistics infrastructure.
This event was organized as a follow-up project to the business agreement for the development of the coffee industry, which was signed in March with Yeongdo-gu District and LGC Co., Ltd. Participants visited the Authority's promotion center, Dongbang Logistics Center Co., Ltd., and Dongwon Global Terminal to observe the port and logistics infrastructure of the Busan-Jinhae Free Economic Zone.
The Authority explained that it introduced its strategy for establishing a coffee value chain, connecting everything from the import of green coffee beans to storage, processing, roasting, and re-export, based on the Busan New Port and the Free Trade Zone.
At the logistics warehouse site, the delegation was briefed on green coffee bean storage facilities and the logistics operation system linked to the port.

Park Seongho, Commissioner of the Busan-Jinhae Free Economic Zone Authority, stated, "It was an opportunity to introduce the investment environment and the port and logistics competitiveness of the Busan-Jinhae Free Economic Zone to the diplomatic missions of each country," and added, "We will continue to expand industrial exchanges and global cooperation."
