Shinhan Asset Management Holds 'Love and Respect for the Elderly' Volunteer Sharing for Parents’ Day
Volunteer Activities Held for 200 Senior Citizens
Shinhan Asset Management carried out a volunteer sharing activity for elderly people from vulnerable groups in celebration of Parents’ Day.
On May 8, Shinhan Asset Management announced that it had held a volunteer sharing event called “Love and Respect for the Elderly” in partnership with Yonggang Senior Welfare Center in Mapo-gu, to support senior citizens from vulnerable backgrounds.
This volunteer activity was organized to express gratitude and respect to elderly members of the local community on Parents’ Day and to practice the values of coexistence and consideration through direct participation by company executives and employees.
The event was attended by 200 elderly individuals, including those living alone and those from vulnerable groups. Around 10 employees from Shinhan Asset Management took part to share warmth and care.
On this day, the employees provided meal service as volunteers at the senior dining hall in Yonggang Senior Welfare Center and pinned carnations on each elderly guest. Afterwards, they visited the homes of seniors and delivered 150 gift packages containing daily necessities as tokens of filial piety.
Shinhan Asset Management continues to actively engage in a range of social contribution activities. The company has previously carried out monthly plogging (environmental cleanup) at Saetgang Ecological Park, as well as meal service volunteering at Ottogi Vocational Rehabilitation Center and Yonggang Senior Welfare Center.
