Main Wildfire in Yeongyang, North Gyeongsang Extinguished in 1 Hour... 9 Helicopters Deployed
At approximately 10:35 a.m. on April 19, a wildfire broke out in a forested area in Ogiri, Subi-myeon, Yeongyang-gun, North Gyeongsang Province, and was extinguished within about an hour.
On this day, forestry authorities deployed 88 personnel, 9 helicopters, and 31 vehicles to the fire site, and completed the main fire suppression at around 11:45 a.m., 1 hour and 10 minutes after the outbreak.
The authorities plan to investigate the exact area affected and property damage after completing the remaining suppression efforts.
