On this day, candidate Jang emphasized, "With 5 million visitors, tourists will fill the markets and alleys, bringing in money from outside and creating jobs in Hoengseong," adding, "We will also implement the President’s policies to revitalize regional tourism, and I am confident of success."
He continued, "On May 11, we signed an agreement with Usangho, candidate for Gangwon Governor, Gu Jayul, candidate for Wonju Mayor, and myself, Jang Sinsang, candidate for Hoengseong County Governor, to establish a regional integrated water management task force. The main purpose of this agreement is to lift the water source protection zone designation that has burdened Hoengseong residents for 40 years."
He also stated, "On the 20th, during a discussion hosted by the Jaewon Hoengseong County Residents' Association, I met with candidate Gu Jayul once again and agreed to work towards a reasonable solution. I urge voters to elect the Governor, the Mayor, and the County Governor so that we can finally resolve this 40-year-long desire."
In particular, he said, "Based on the Rural Basic Income Pilot Project, we plan to supplement the budget and provide 200,000 won per month to every resident. Since this project is being promoted by the current government, it will be difficult to achieve unless the candidate is from the ruling party. Please give me the opportunity to make this happen," he appealed.
