In particular, taking into account the timing of disasters, the kits were divided into two types—summer and winter—so that disaster victims could use them conveniently depending on the season. Each kit contains 18 types of clothing, including underwear and long-sleeve T-shirts.
The clothing kits produced on this day will be stored at the association's logistics center during normal times and will be distributed to disaster victims when events such as heavy rain or typhoons occur.
Six aspiring announcers from Bomon Academy participated in the kit-making activities. These individuals have been contributing to the spread of a safety culture by filming monthly disaster safety guidelines videos in collaboration with Hope Bridge. By taking part in hands-on volunteer work for disaster victims, they added further meaning to their social contribution.
Lee Eunsu, an aspiring announcer who participated in the volunteer activity, said, "When I read disaster-related news scripts, the situation of disasters always felt somewhat abstract. But after sorting and packing the clothing items directly for those in need, I realized just how desperately needed and helpful these relief supplies are."
