As the official campaign for the June 3 local elections has begun, the Jeonbuk Special Self-Governing Province Election Countermeasures Committee of the Democratic Party of Korea (hereinafter referred to as the Jeonbuk Provincial Election Committee) has launched a full-scale effort to achieve an overwhelming victory.

View original imageOn May 21, the Jeonbuk Provincial Election Committee held a launch ceremony press conference at the briefing room of the Jeonbuk Provincial Council, reaffirming their determination for victory and pledging to rally the support of local residents during the upcoming 13-day election period.
The launch ceremony was attended by Yoon Junbyung, Chief Standing Election Committee Chairperson, Lee Wontaeck, the Jeonbuk Special Self-Governing Province Governor candidate, Jo Jihoon, Jeonju Mayor candidate, and numerous other committee officials, demonstrating strong unity as a single team.
Chairperson Yoon Junbyung stated, "We will create a momentum for victory in this local election and unite the hearts of Jeonbuk residents who are yearning for change and development throughout the province. We will do our utmost until the very end so that capable Democratic Party candidates, who can revitalize the regional economy and take responsibility for the future, will be chosen by the people."
He continued, "We will meet more residents, listen more, and work even harder. Please support the Democratic Party candidates who are ready to work for Jeonbuk's great leap forward."
Immediately following the launch ceremony, the election committee held a joint campaign rally to boost the election atmosphere. They joined forces with Lee Wontaeck's campaign team at the Jeonbuk Special Self-Governing Province Electronic Billboard intersection to carry out intensive campaigning. The committee also explained in detail to local residents the role of local governments in supporting the success of the Lee Jaemyung administration and shared their vision for Jeonbuk's future development, asking for public support.
During the course of the election, support from the Democratic Party's Central Committee will also continue. The Central Committee’s campaign support team plans to visit major areas in the Jeonbuk region to raise election enthusiasm and help consolidate the party's supporters.

According to the committee's announced schedule, the "Ottuk Campaign Team" led by Assemblyman Park Joomin will visit key sites related to residents’ livelihoods in the province on May 23 to share a vision for regional development and encourage party members to unite. During the main election period, the "Neighborhood Campaign Team," joined by popular actor Lee Wonjong, will traverse every corner of Jeonbuk, appealing for support for Democratic Party candidates.
