Changwon Special City in South Gyeongsang Province announced on the 21st that it has selected the phrase "Because there are hot days, we become each other's shade," proposed by local resident Kim Siin from Uichang-gu, as the summer edition for the "Korean Empathy Quote" campaign.

Kim explained that the phrase conveys the message, "While we face difficult, overwhelming, and lonely days in life, it is because we have friends, family, partners, and children by our side that we can support each other and overcome those hardships together."
The city will introduce Kim's quote through the Changwon City Newsletter and, until the end of August, share it with citizens via large electronic billboards located at city hall and in Yangdeok-dong, as well as through the city's promotional digital information displays (DID) installed in 78 multi-use facilities.
