EY Hanyoung Hosts First 'Asia-Pacific Outstanding Women Entrepreneurs Annual Conference' in Seoul... Discusses AI and Global Expansion
EY Hanyoung, the global accounting and consulting firm, announced on May 21 that it had hosted the annual "2026 EY Asia-Pacific Outstanding Women Entrepreneurs Program" conference in Seoul for the first time. This program supports the long-term global growth and network expansion of women entrepreneurs across the Asia-Pacific region.
An EY Hanyoung representative stated, "Over 100 participants, including 23 newly selected women entrepreneurs from the Asia-Pacific region and alumni of the program, attended the event, which was held over three days starting from May 18."

View original imageAt this conference, Hyunok Han, CEO of Clio and a 2019 program alumna, took the stage as a keynote speaker to share Clio's growth journey and global expansion strategy. Participants also visited Clio's headquarters for a corporate tour to explore the K-beauty brand's strategies firsthand.
In addition to discussing strategies for entering the Korean market and scaling up globally, the conference featured in-depth discussions on AI Transformation (AX) strategies, a current hot topic in management. Suyeon Kim, Head of EY AI Center and recently appointed Chief Technology Officer (CTO) for EY Asia East, presented a session on leveraging AI as a growth driver for companies.
Kim emphasized, "Companies that clearly understand both the possibilities and limitations of AI, manage it strategically, and reinvest in it will secure a long-term competitive edge."
This year, the honorees from Korea included Haeryeon Kim, Chairwoman of Taekyung Group, a leading basic materials company, and Soyoun Yoon, founder and Chief Vision Officer (CVO) of Apartmentary, a premium apartment interior design company.

With global women entrepreneurs gathering in Seoul to discuss trending topics in management such as AI and K-beauty, expectations are rising for Korea's expanding role as a hub for business exchange within the Asia-Pacific region. Bokhan Lee, Head of Markets at EY Hanyoung and Leader of the EY Entrepreneur of the Year Award, commented, "The first hosting of this conference in Seoul demonstrates that Korea is being recognized as a strategic hub of innovation and women's leadership in the region."
