Lotte Construction Safety Experience Center Certified as 'Private Safety Experience Education Center' by Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency
Double Credit for Workers’ Safety Training Hours
Hands-on Training for 18 Types of Accidents, Including Falls and Overturns
Lotte Construction announced on May 20 that its safety experience center, "Safety ON," has obtained the Private Safety Experience Education Center Certification from the Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency. With this certification, workers who complete safety experience training at this center will now have their required regular safety and health education hours recognized at double the standard rate under the Occupational Safety and Health Act.
The Private Safety Experience Education Center Certification system is a program in which the agency comprehensively reviews the facilities, equipment, instructors, and programs of private education centers to grant qualifications only to those that meet all regulatory requirements. For workers, this means they can receive effective hands-on training at verified facilities while also reducing the burden of mandatory training hours.

The center is designed to allow participants to directly experience 18 types of accident scenarios commonly encountered at worksites. It features 14 safety management simulation facilities, including crane and ladder overturning and falls from openings, as well as four health management simulation facilities, such as first aid. Additionally, a dedicated virtual reality (VR) experience room offers indirect simulations of 33 types of accidents, such as drops and collisions, using VR equipment.
Since its opening, a cumulative total of 12,300 people—including Lotte Construction headquarters and field employees, partner companies, and external organizations—have completed training at this center. Training sessions are also being provided to students and public institutions. Following Gyeongbok University in 2024, Dongguk University students received training in 2025. This year, newly appointed labor inspectors from the Ministry of Employment and Labor also completed safety experience training at Safety ON.
