The labor and management of Hyundai Rotem plan to develop a roadmap for labor-management relations from a mid-to-long-term perspective and to proactively respond to future changes.
The TFT will promote the construction of a win-win labor-management cooperation model and enhance the efficiency of collective bargaining activities based on a joint labor-management declaration. The focus is on strengthening on-site communication and jointly identifying and implementing future tasks.
To this end, Hyundai Rotem intends to review its overall operational system, eliminate inefficiencies, and implement future-oriented institutional improvements. In particular, the company plans to reinforce preliminary consultations and systematic discussions on major collective bargaining issues, including the wage system, employee welfare, and working environment, in order to reduce unnecessary conflicts and accelerate the pace of reaching substantive agreements.
The TFT will officially begin its activities with the announcement of a joint labor-management declaration. The declaration includes the realization of employment stability and win-win values, the establishment of safety-first principles, future-oriented institutional improvements, and securing sustainable growth engines.
Kim Iksoo, Head of Management Support Division at Hyundai Rotem, and Nam Bonghee, Branch Chief of Hyundai Rotem at the Korean Metal Workers' Union, signed the declaration as labor-management representatives, reaffirming their commitment to employment stability and sustainable growth.
In addition, the TFT plans to hold a town hall meeting on May 22 to share the future visions of each business division, including Defense Solutions, Rail Solutions, and Eco Plant.
