Yang Sangho, Acting Mayor of Hamyang County, visited the Hamyang-eup Office on the 18th to inspect the site where applications for the second round of high oil price damage support funds were being accepted. He reviewed the operation of the application counters and checked for any resident inconvenience issues.
On that day, the launch of the second application period for the high oil price damage support fund coincided with the lifting of the day-of-week restriction for the Gyeongnam residents' living support fund. As a result, a large number of applicants crowded the civil service counters, leading to ongoing congestion.

View original imageIn response to the influx of applications, Hamyang County has deployed additional main office staff to Hamyang-eup and Anui-myeon, the most populated areas, to increase processing speed and minimize inconvenience for residents.
Additionally, the county is operating a scheduled village visit service and an on-site application service to further enhance convenience for elderly residents and those with limited access to transportation.
Acting Mayor Yang encouraged on-site staff, saying, "Since this is a peak period for support fund applications, please do your utmost to provide prompt and courteous service so that residents do not experience inconvenience."
