Yeosu Gwangyang Port Authority to Drive Intensive Organizational Innovation... Launches 'Innovation Task Force'
Selection of Four Major Organizational Innovation Tasks
Development of Improvement Measures
Yeosu Gwangyang Port Authority (President Choi Kwanho, hereinafter referred to as the Authority) announced on May 18 that it has established a President-direct 'Innovation Task Force' to innovate overall institutional operations and improve organizational structure, and will begin full-scale operations.
This Innovation Task Force was created to be exclusively responsible for organizational innovation following the inauguration of the new President. The Authority plans to establish a rapid execution system based on the President’s strong will to drive change and innovation.
The Innovation Task Force will operate for about 60 days from May to July, focusing on promoting innovation tasks across all aspects of organizational management.
The four main tasks are: redefining the organizational mission; restructuring the organization and refining the system of roles and responsibilities; improving the fair and transparent evaluation system; and enhancing work methods based on autonomy and accountability.
The Authority plans not to limit itself to a simple organizational diagnosis, but to thoroughly review the entire institutional management system from the ground up.
Additionally, it will identify actionable improvement tasks and immediately put them into practice, driving innovation centered on implementation.
