Samsung Electronics announced on May 19 that its 'Bespoke AI Family Hub' refrigerator has received positive reviews from technology media outlets in the United States and Europe.
Launched in Korea this March, Samsung Electronics' 'Bespoke AI Family Hub' refrigerator features an upgraded 'AI Vision' function, which enables it to recognize a wide variety of fresh and processed foods without any limit on the number of food types.

View original imageThe American tech media outlet Tom's Guide selected the Samsung Electronics 'Bespoke AI Family Hub' as a leading AI product in the smart home, appliance, and security categories through the 'AI Awards 2026' this month.
Tom's Guide stated, "Samsung Electronics' 'Bespoke AI Family Hub' refrigerator combines Samsung's 'Vision AI' technology with Google's generative AI, Gemini, to more precisely identify the ingredients inside the refrigerator. It can distinguish between avocados and zucchini, as well as regular cola and diet cola, and recommends personalized meal plans and shopping lists based on the stored ingredients."
The review continued, "It notifies users when ingredients are nearing their expiration date, helping to reduce food waste. We are completely captivated by Samsung Electronics' new AI refrigerator, which can even check the weather and play music."
The UK tech publication T3 also selected the 'Bespoke AI Family Hub' refrigerator as the only large appliance among nine kitchen items that help reduce food waste.
T3 introduced, "This year's Family Hub refrigerator has been upgraded to reduce food waste by utilizing AI and camera technology. The internal camera recognizes when ingredients are added or removed and manages the expiration dates of each food item, sending timely alerts."
The publication further noted, "It even suggests various recipes using the stored ingredients, enabling more efficient use of food."
The American business media outlet Business Insider praised Samsung Electronics' AI appliance competitiveness, stating, "A variety of AI features can be easily accessed by voice, bringing the future of seamless interaction between users and appliances to reality."
